RPK: ISLAM & THE MALAY PSYCHE
Malaysia-Today editor Raja Petra Kamarudin talks about Islam and the Malay psyche at an anti-ISA forum on December 1st, 2008. Raja Petra argues that detention without trial is against Islam but yet many Malays especially those in Umno support the ISA. He also focuses on issues that conflict with Islam but are practised by the hypocritical Umno/BN government.
Bravo, Pete! Simply brilliant lecture, great to see you in such excellent form :-)
Just for laughs, take a look at this video from Malaysiakini showing a bunch of Umno-sponsored pro-ISA protestors who assembled outside the Bar Council even as the Anti-ISA Forum was in progress...
How low can you go, Umno?
[This blogpost was inspired by a visit to Haris Ibrahim's People Parliament where I first viewed the RPK lecture. Thanks, Haris, you're really doing a magnificent job, bro! ]

Aiyoo, ISA has nothing to do with Malay's right. Can UMNO send some more intelligent guys to the protest?
pro ISA activists ? I dont see any, from above picture I just see a bunch of clueless mat rempits paid RM50/- to chant slogans they don't understand.
charge the organizers under the seditions act, or just strike the seditions act of the statutes.
another world record for Malaysia - the only protest in the history of the world calling for curtails against human liberty.
If Martin Luther King were alive he would suffer shoch & depression

Seriously, I'm laughing and crying at the same time, laughing at the 'pengerusi' attempting to articulate that ISA and Malay rights should be jumbled up together in a whole bundle of shenanigans and crying because such pathetic nonsense people this country is producing. May God help us.

The Pro-ISA protest is ridiculous, ludicrous and laughable, but it certainly isn't funny. If such sentiments exist among segments of the population, I worry for the future of the country.
Hi Magicman, this "unconnected" fan finally becomes a virtual dummy. You should post "...untuk orang kata ... (4sec) ah ...(another 4sec and in frustration and self-conscious shame finally giving up)...apa nak cakap ...tak apa, tak apa", to all the blogs. Really have a good laugh how that joker making a fool of the so called the "pejuangan ketuanan Melayu". Let's call for the burial of ISA. Cheers.
