BLOOD ON THE WATERS

A vast majority of humans all over the planet are glued right now to TV sets watching the World Cup. Perhaps we're better off watching live webcam feeds of the monster oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico - because it's a man-made disaster on such a colossal scale the mind boggles to even contemplate the possible consequences on every level. Here are two worst-case scenarios I read earlier today. My own feelings about BP's Deepwater Horizon catastrophe will be addressed in a later post.

Here's a truly scary scenario outlined by an oil and gas engineer....

Heard you mention the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico this morning, and you (and most everyone else except maybe George Noory) are totally missing the boat on how big and bad a disaster this is.

First fact, the original estimate was about 5,000 gallons of oil a day spilling into the ocean. Now they're saying 200,000 gallons a day. That's over a million gallons of crude oil a week!

I'm an engineer with 25 years of experience. I've worked on some big projects with big machines. Maybe that's why this mess is so clear to me.

First, the BP platform was drilling for what they call deep oil. They go out where the ocean is about 5,000 feet deep and drill another 30,000 feet into the crust of the earth. This it right on the edge of what human technology can do. Well, this time they hit a pocket of oil at such high pressure that it burst all of their safety valves all the way up to the drilling rig and then caused the rig to explode and sink. Take a moment to grasp the import of that. The pressure behind this oil is so high that it destroyed the maximum effort of human science to contain it.

When the rig sank it flipped over and landed on top of the drill hole some 5,000 feet under the ocean.

Now they've got a hole in the ocean floor, 5,000 feet down with a wrecked oil drilling rig sitting on top of is spewing 200,000 barrels of oil a day into the ocean. Take a moment and consider that, will you.

First they have to get the oil rig off the hole to get at it in order to try to cap it. Do you know the level of effort it will take to move that wrecked oil rig, sitting under 5,000 feet of water? That operation alone would take years and hundreds of millions to accomplish. Then, how do you cap that hole in the muddy ocean floor? There just is no way. No way.

The only piece of human technology that might address this is a nuclear bomb. I'm not kidding. If they put a nuke down there in the right spot it might seal up the hole. Nothing short of that will work.

If we can't cap that hole that oil is going to destroy the oceans of the world. It only takes one quart of motor oil to make 250,000 gallons of ocean water toxic to wildlife. Are you starting to get the magnitude of this?

Is he worried? Tony Hayward, CEO of BP

We're so used to our politicians creating false crises to forward their criminal agendas that we aren't recognizing that we're staring straight into possibly the greatest disaster mankind will ever see. Imagine what happens if that oil keeps flowing until it destroys all life in the oceans of this planet. Who knows how big a reservoir of oil is down there?

Not to mention that the oceans are critical to maintaining the proper oxygen level in the atmosphere for human life.

We're humped. Unless God steps in and fixes this. No human can. You can be sure of that!

The following was extracted from a long email sent out by John Kaminski, a visionary writer with a keen paranoid edge which cannot be dismissed out of hand...

Once they reach the inevitable conclusion that the Gulf of Mexico oil volcano must not be allowed to continue — all life on the surface of this planet so thoroughly raped by humans will be dead in two years, as the atmosphere rapidly becomes poisoned with benzene, methane and sulfur dioxide, something like the toxic atmospheres of Jupiter or Saturn — the Russian experts they’ve just imported for advice will convince them to nuke the gulf.

Imagine setting off a nuclear device at not only the foot of the New Madrid tectonic fault — quite likely to split the continental U.S. in half — but also in a small ocean of extremely flammable OIL, an entire small ocean extremely full of it, and mixed into a satanic cocktail of Corexit, an extremely poisonous substance. Can any of us really imagine what will happen?

The best case scenario is this. The blast will be so humongous, it will throw the planet out of orbit. When this happens, the atmosphere which has nurtured us for so many millennia, will burst like a giant soap bubble, and every living thing that depends on air to breathe will be dead in less than 30 minutes. It will be a bad death, too — and endless sea of strangling, spasming, writhing blue faces. But it will be mercifully brief. It won’t take long. Faith will get you through it. This is the best case scenario.

What happens if the blast is somehow less profound than that, or if they follow a strategy of lighting small fires from which the Corexit fumes will exterminate the populace in small segments, I can only say God help us. The oily nuclear winter that will follow in a matter of days and last for centuries will dwarf any atrocities fearful men have perpetrated upon one another since the dawn of time. The agony will be long and sublimely frightful. I can’t imagine anyone living through that, not even the Neocon Morlocks who think they’re safe beneath the surface.

In an obvious way, every person on the planet is now frozen in time. The big clock in the sky is ticking down its final seconds. Everything humans have accomplished in the past has suddenly become irrelevant, and every now-frightening step into the future brings us one day closer to our exquisitely crafted, hypocritically conceived, self-inflicted doom.

I explain this to the dapper executive in the BMW and he responds: “So we have to live our lives in super Hazmat suits. We’ll still have built in cell phones and computers. Life will go on even if the air is poisonous.”

So now instead of computers and cellphones, we have to worry about the poisonous properties of a panoply of gasses — ethane, butane, methane, benzene, and sulfuric acid in the rain. Always know which way the wind is blowing. Always know when to run.

For those of us who regard this description of life as insane, our minds wriggle with conceptual travel plans. One friend is jumping in his SUV and heading for Alaska tomorrow morning. But others are just sitting by the seashore, oblivious to the gathering storm, shrugging their shoulders, saying “Hey, there’s nothing we can do about it,” and sipping on their beer. And the fish on the end of the line is covered with oil.

Edgar Cayce books are suddenly selling well these days. He’s that “Sleeping Prophet” dude who predicted the Great Lakes will run down the Mississippi and cut America in half, and wouldn’t you know that wellhead they’re thinking about nuking sits right at the foot of the very tectonic fracture that would exactly accomplish the trick.

So where do you run? Which way do you go? Do you buy an ocean liner like Alan Greenspan and try to ride it out? Watch out for Somali pirates, true representatives of the people. Hide out in the mountains of Nicaragua, hoping the mudslides don’t get you? Tuck yourself away on a hillside in Maui? That might be worst of all, when our mother the ocean, the entity that gave this planet its life, finally decides to chastise us for what we have done to her. You have never seen awesome like the angry sea...

If you choose to run, especially after the forced evacuation announcement (which I’ve heard will be June 16), your first roadblock will be your last. The men in the white trucks have orders to shoot to kill anyone who disobeys their orders. But if you follow their orders, chances are good you’ll wind up in a FEMA camp, where you will be herded into a barbed wire encampment (rented by the Feds in Georgia and Alabama for this particular event) and left to starve to death, just like Eisenhower did to those Germans all those years ago.

In these bleeding days, beating the rush is the best way to stay alive at least a little longer.

If I’m wrong about any of the things I’ve said or written in the past few weeks — since I first felt the Earth begin to bleed in a serious and howling way — once the danger has passed and I see this has all been a paranoid panic attack, when the all-clear is sounded, I will only be too glad to queue up at my local VA psych ward and request admittance to medicate the error of my ways. I pray that my future will be that bright.

A number of you reading this and a much larger percentage of those who aren’t will not make it to the end of the year, felled as you will be by the hazards of this unprecedented, rapidly unfolding disaster, and other disasters shortly due that will greatly reduce your chances of surviving. I will have a longer story later about useful procedures should you encounter that event.

Tonight they were talking about oil burnoffs near Navarre Beach, in the Florida Panhandle, in water overloaded with the dispersant named Corexit, which exudes lethal fumes at temperatures above 90 degrees.

And this is the brew that the hurricanes sure to come will rain down on Georgia and the Carolinas when they whirl through the Caribbean, as they do most every year.

I know a couple of young mothers in the Smoky Mountains who should be moving further north. But everybody’s not going to get the message. Charles is going to sit there on Bourbon Street and play his horn until the sky turns red. Brigitte is saying "come on down, we’re going to rebuild N’Orleans bigger and better than ever." I turn my head away in pain. I wonder which of my friends will make it to the Canadian Rockies before British Petroleum’s deliberately errant shot turns the entire southeastern United States into a giant gas chamber.

You’re not all going to make it. You don’t need to be a fortune teller to read these cards. There has been not one bit of good news since this nightmare began. Things run true to form. Get out while you can still breathe. But remember. The amount of poison in the Gulf will hiss for many years. Whether it will actually kill every living thing on the planet is a question only the future can answer. But what we know now — facts on the ground — that enough poison has been released already — with much, much more to come in the future... it’s enough poison to do the job.

John Kaminski is a writer who used to live on the Gulf Coast of Florida, but is now on the run from the rapidly growing shadow of human greed, which as we speak now creeps north toward Georgia.

FRIDAY FUNNIES

A CLASSIC RESPONSE

Took my 66-year-old dad to the mall the other day to buy some new shoes. We decided to grab a bite at the food court. I noticed he was watching a teenager sitting next to him. The teenager had spiked hair in all different colors - green, red, orange, and blue....

My dad kept staring at her. The teenager kept looking and would find my dad staring every time. When the teenager had had enough, she sarcastically asked, “What's the matter, old man, never done anything wild in your life?”

Knowing my Dad, I quickly swallowed my food so I wouldn't choke on his response; I knew he'd have a good one!

In classic style he retorted without batting an eyelid: “Got drunk once and had sex with a peacock. I was just wondering if you were my daughter."

IF THIS DOESN'T MAKE YOU ANGRY...
THEN NOTHING WILL!

Dammit this is going too far!!!

This photo shows the serious damage caused to the wildlife by the recent BP blowout. I feel it is my moral duty to go down to the Florida coast right now and help clean the wildlife with my own bare hands....

THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT TIME

Extracts from an email message sent by Patricia Diane Cota-Robles, 7 June 2010...

All we have to do is turn on the news to see that we are in the midst of a very tumultuous time on this planet. Challenging and even catastrophic things are taking place in every facet of people’s lives. It is very easy to feel overwhelmed and fearful about the future and what is going to happen to us and our families. Unfortunately, our fear just compounds the problem and motivates us to cling to the old paradigms that are surfacing to be healed and transmuted into Light. Even if our old behavior patterns and our previous ways of thinking and acting have made us miserable, at least they are familiar to us and we know what to expect. As the expression goes, “Better the devil you know than the devil you do not know.” This attitude is common, but nothing could be more counterproductive during this time of transformation.

Contrary to outer appearances, the things that are occurring all over the world are not going to destroy Humanity or the Earth. These horrific things are coming up to get our attention and to motivate us to find a better way of interacting with each other and the Earth. We have been buried in our own self-inflicted pain and suffering for so long that we are numb. We have fallen into the destructive habit of using extreme pain as our motivator. Unless something catastrophic happens in our lives, we just muddle through each day without paying much attention to what we might do to make things better. However, when something disastrous happens in our personal lives or on the planet, we start scrambling around to see what we can do to correct the situation.

The devastating environmental disaster occurring in the Gulf of Mexico at this time is a prime example of this Truth. We have known for decades that oil and coal are polluting the planet and wreaking havoc in the lives of people everywhere. Time and again, awakening souls have tapped into the Realms of Illumined Truth and come up with clean energy sources and technologies that would eliminate our use of oil and coal. Because of the power and money associated with the oil and coal industries, these new methods of energy have always been suppressed and hidden from the mass consciousness of Humanity. People have come to the erroneous conclusion that we must have oil and coal in order to survive and maintain our livelihoods. Even now, with oil destroying the precious wetlands and ecosystems in the Gulf of Mexico, many people there are upset that President Obama has called for a moratorium on deep-water drilling. This is a graphic demonstration of Humanity’s distorted perception at this time.

Our lives are so interwoven with the very things that are causing the problems on Earth that we feel we must perpetuate them in order to survive. This illusion is the direct manipulation of our fear-based, fragmented human egos. Our lower human egos believe that the physical plane is all that exists and that our purpose and reason for being is to gratify our physical senses. Our human egos are aware that we are awakening and that our God Selves are beginning to reclaim dominion of our lives. Our egos are fighting tooth and nail to prevent our God Selves from taking back the power this wayward aspect of our personality usurped after our fall from Grace aeons ago.

What would happen if all of a sudden disease and the degenerative process of aging were eliminated from the planet? Imagine the number of people who would be out of work: doctors, nurses, hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, pharmacies, drug companies, medical insurance companies, and all of the workers who support these industries. Millions of people have a vested interest in keeping us sick.

What would happen if war was eliminated? If you will remember, just before September 11, 2001, and the manifestation of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, there was a lot of talk about having to close some of the military bases in the USA for financial reasons. This was causing a great deal of concern for military personnel. Look at the millions of people who would be out of work if our military complex and the war machine were no longer needed. There are millions of people who have a vested interest in perpetuating war.

What if Humanity remembers the Oneness of Life? What if we all recognize the Divinity within each other, and we truly develop a reverence for all Life? Crime, corruption, violence, greed, and everything associated with the criminal aspects of our present existence would be eliminated. Think of the number of people who would be out of work if we no longer needed the criminal justice system, police, security officers, prisons, prison guards, criminal lawyers, et cetera. What in the world would we watch on television or in the movies? It is interesting to observe that since many of the prisons in the USA have been privatized, the population of the prisons in this country has more than doubled. Prisons cannot succeed as a private business without lots of prisoners. There are millions of people who are vested in keeping crime alive and well.

When we ask people if they want to see disease, war, and crime eliminated, they usually say “of course.” But when their livelihoods depend on these things, they are afraid of what will happen to their financial security if these conditions cease to exist. That fear creates an underlying need that perpetuates the painful things people say they would like to eliminate.

We are so accustomed to living with disease, war, and crime that we think they are normal. We cannot even imagine living without them. The concept of a world without these maladies seems unrealistic and far too good to be true. Our Father-Mother God and the Company of Heaven are striving to remind us of the fact that these terrible things were never part of our Divine Plan. We created them through the misuse of our thoughts, words, feelings, and actions and they are being perpetuated and sustained by our fear-based human egos. It is time for us to stop this insanity. It is time to turn things around.

We must free ourselves from the paralyzing grip of our human egos and raise our consciousness. Instead of looking at the outer world and coming to the erroneous conclusion that this is all there is, we need to see the bigger picture.

WE ARE COCREATING THIS REALITY!!! Everything existing on Earth at this time is the result of Humanity’s collective consciousness. If we do not like what is happening in our individual lives or on the planet, we can join together and cocreate a new reality. Our task is to have enough of us focusing our attention on the patterns of perfection for the New Earth to reach a critical mass.

The Oil Spill and the Blood Spill

The Oil Spill and the Blood Spill:
Same Problem, Same Solution

By Steve Bhaerman

Sometimes it's just not funny.

There is nothing funny about oil hemorrhaging in the Gulf of Mexico, or blood flowing in the Mediterranean - just the sad joke that we humans are largely the cause of our own suffering. And we are largely clueless as to how and why.

For millennia, we have been under the spell of the lowest common dominator, the notion that it's a you-or-me world, that to survive we must dominate or be dominated. Never mind that at the root of every religion and ethical system is some version of the Golden Rule. We have as a species chosen to apply this law selectively to those in our own family, tribe or nation. When we feel threatened - not necessarily ARE threatened, but feel threatened - we very easily adopt a conveniently modified version of the rule: "Doo-doo unto others before they can doo-doo unto you."

So, for tribes or nations to be manipulated by a sociopathic few, all these misleaders need to do is convince their people of an external threat, and this protective mechanism is activated. While fight-or-flight is a necessary response to an immediate danger, the blood flow to the hindbrain has to come from somewhere. It comes from the forebrain, the place of creative thinking and discernment. In other words, when we are in fear we are less intelligent.

In places like the Middle East, the us-vs.-them story is well established, and each atrocity by the other builds the story one more story high. The one thing the Palestinian terrorists set to blow themselves up and the Israeli soldiers firing on civilians have in common is the belief, "We are the good guys."

It's this belief alone that turns good guys into bad guys. It's how America justified using atomic weapons on Japan, napalm on Vietnamese, and bombs on Iraqi and Afghan citizens. It's the cost of war, paid by the other guy - the bad guy.

From the Mideast ... to the Midwest

In order to bring this notion home, literally and figuratively, we need to take what is happening in the Mideast, and apply it in the Midwest. Just as surely as the Israelis and Palestinians are at war, we the people of America have been divided into two warring tribes, the Red Tribe Republicans and the Blue Tribe Democrats. The main difference between these two tribes is that the right wing understands there is a war going on; the left wing merely feels assaulted.

Here's why.

Whether you believe it's an actual conspiracy, or merely the out-picturing of our divided collective consciousness, the body politic has been split into left-brain and right-brain, masculine and feminine. The political left represents the values of novelty and nurturance; the right stands for structure and protection. Each of these tendencies - progressive and conservative - represents a healthy biological impulse. However, separately they are incapable of wise rule. Why? Well, imagine living your life using only half your intelligence, or worse yet with two parts of your psyche constantly in mortal combat.

Consequently, each political party represents a toxic distortion of a valuable asset. Put bluntly, the Republicans represent the abusive male, the Democrats the enabler female. All of the muscle is on one side; all of the compassion is on the other. Instead of working together, these two opposing impulses have inflicted a deadly autoimmune dysfunction on the body politic. Who benefits? Those who have the most to lose by these two divided forces uniting as an integrated, whole "we the people."

In a healthy, integrated, whole system the forces of protection protect life. Consider the eggshell. It is absolutely necessary to protect the egg during development. However, for a chicken to be born, the shell must break. Structure must yield to life.

In our distorted, divided system the structures designed for protection all too often protect the predator. That's why back in the 1930s, Gen. Smedley Butler, at the time America's most decorated Marine, wrote a booklet called War is a Racket, where he confessed that most of the defending he did during the early part of this century was for United Fruit and U.S. Rubber. In the nearly 80 years since Butler's pamphlet, we have seen the simple desire for defense and protection rigidify into a Military Industrial Complex, a structure largely in service of itself, in partnership with the American empire.

Interestingly, the more libertarian right represented by Ron Paul know about Smedley Butler and his assessment of war, whereas he is an unfamiliar figure to most on the left. That's because each political polarity has it's own information pipeline telling them the "truth." The left is told that the Ron Paul variety of populist - as represented currently by the Tea Parties - are backward racists and isolationists. Meanwhile, the right wing impropaganda machine bangs away at the notion that "liberals hate America," making them as much of an enemy as Al Qaeda is.

Progressives are outraged by the assaults of Limbaugh, Beck and the like, but cannot respond effectively or courageously. Why? Because all the martial energy has been marshaled over on the other side. The right, meanwhile, doesn't dare empathize with the downtrodden, lest we empower welfare cheats. In having their attention focused on the lowly criminal, they are conveniently distracted from the highly criminal.

We are a political house divided, a body politic afflicted with bi-polar insanity. Somewhere in the netherworld, Machiavelli is smiling, for his lesson of divide-and-conquer has been well learned by our misleaders. We the people have learned to identify so much with what divides us that we completely ignore the common virtues and values we share as non-sociopathic humans.

It's Either an Awakening ... Or a Wake

Which brings us to the oil spill.

The major missing piece in this web-of-life threatening tragedy is our ability to act in unison in a moment of crisis. The bi-polar political dysfunction has bred so much mutual distrust, that we've wasted valuable time and energy in obfuscation and blame. But the problem goes deeper than that, as deep as the subconscious programming of "survival of the fittest." We are so programmed with fear of not enough - Swami calls this "scare city" - that we spend our attention, intention, time and resource on protection and acquisition, at the expense of other healthy human "cellular souls."

The cost of this agreed-upon greed, goes beyond the trillions of dollars spent and the millions of lives lost. We now have a rupture in the web-of-life itself, as the fluid we value more than life gushes uselessly and harmfully into the ocean, unstoppable by the magic of technology. Like Disney's Sorcerer's Apprentice, in our ignorance and innocence, we unleashed a power far too powerful for our Mickey Mouse consciousness.

And the good news is?

If we choose to use it as such, the oil spill may be the significant emotional event that bumps us out of the illusion of separation and into a healthier relationship with one another and the planet. What is called for is no less than a spontaneous spiritual evolution from children of God to adults of God, from victims and villains to aware, responsible co-creators. It's never happened before. But never before have we faced such a blatant and immediate human-caused disaster, one that calls into question our fitness as a species.

As many of us have seen in the "try this" or "try that" emails that have been circulating, there is no dearth of potential remedies or even solutions. We already have the worldwide network of communication to create an open-source approach to a situation that threatens every one of us. Necessity is indeed the mother of invention ... and intent is the father. What an opportunity for the people of this world to "gather under one big intent" to take the initiative to create a worldwide "we the people" authority to, for the first time, confront a species-wide threat as a species.

This would not be some top-down New World Order, but a bottom up, grassroots "new world ordering," where we access the heart-and-soul essence of who we are, an essence that has been lost through millennia of domination and programmed fear. It would mean gathering in intentionally diverse groups, and using existing polarities to stretch ourselves beyond the limited choices we currently perceive. It would mean calling forth the Sacred Masculine and the Sacred Feminine, to act in accord as dynamic duo dance partners. It would mean taking the obsolete political polarities of progressive and conservative, and turning them into healthy intentions by asking, "How do we wish to progress?" and "What do we choose to conserve?"

I know, I know. I am proposing a sane world. I must be crazy.

But the question to ask ourselves and one another is, how sane is the institutionalized, homicidal, suicidal insanity we have now? As the saying goes, if we keep on the same path, we will arrive at where we are going. Even if we are able to stanch the current oil flow, and we contain the damage to "just" one ocean, what will the next blow be? Will we be able to recover, or will it just be a matter of time before a human-made disaster kills us?

In our book Spontaneous Evolution, Bruce Lipton and I point out the phenomenon of "spontaneous remission," where an individual is told their condition is untreatable and terminal, and yet something mysterious and miraculous happens. They recover, and show no sign of the disease whatsoever. While we might imagine this some super-human miracle, when we look deeper we find that the recovery is preceded by a profound change of belief, and change of behavior.

In other words, a spontaneous remission is often the result of a "spontaneous remissioning." And so the choice is before us to collectively change our mission from "dominate or be dominated" to re-growing the Garden together.

This has been the wake up call we have been waiting for. And the snooze button is no longer working.
